Peak Group offers custom design and build services for test equipment
The Peak Group is now offering custom design and build services for test equipment in the electronics manufacturing, aerospace and defence industries.
'In addition to the manufacture of custom-built test equipment, we are being increasingly used by a number of major customers to lay out and build test racks and other electronics assemblies to their circuit diagrams and design drawings', says Managing Director Frank Nuttall: 'Recent projects include cables for the aerospace industry, bespoke test consoles for the air traffic control industry and test equipment for railway signal systems.'
The ability to configure and assemble prototype and production test systems is based on Peak's established expertise in functional test plus the use of proprietary technology including mass interconnect interfaces from Virginia Panel Corporation - for which Peak is the exclusive UK representative - and PXI test modules from National Instruments.
These modular building blocks provide a range of hardware and software options that can be configured to provide the backbone of a range of test solutions. These building blocks allow specific test accessories to be grafted onto the system to accommodate the exact technical requirements of the unit under test. Further enhancement is provided by Peak's TestMaster functional test software, which again embodies a modular approach and is easy to configure and use.
