Plastic connector housing combines small size and low cost

HARTING has introduced a compact plastic version of the Han(r) 3 A industrial connector housing which combines small size and low cost. The housing incorporates an integrated cable clamp and is 25% shorter than the standard version, making it ideally suited to applications where space is limited.

The integrated cable clamp is designed for cable diameters from 9 to 17 mm, and the housing material is premium plastic. Like all components in the Han 3(r) A housing series, the new housing offers IP 65/67 protection.

The new device is compatible with the many existing contact inserts in the Han 3(r) A Series, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Users will also benefit from the reduction in administrative and logistic costs resulting from the housing and cable clamp being packaged together.
